How do I remove white spots from Varnished Table Top?
I placed a hot pot on the table, not realizing it had slide off the towel and now I have a big white spot in the tables finish! How do I remove this spot? It is an oak table top with a dark Varnished top, the white spot is about 10″ diameter. Any help would be greatful! thanks!
While the mayo trick works for water rings, it will not work for what you have. The hot pot sucked the moisture from the wood, into the varnish. You will need to sand and refinish the area.
